-Nothing, Frank was crazy. If you hadn't found out what he was doing, maybe Mac would have been as lucky as Ismat.
-Yes, that damned initiation, I can never forget it.
Yeri moves on to that Thursday, when she arrived at that place: Frank and his friends are on the rounds, she records everything discreetly with her cell phone on.
A boy no more than seventeen years old is in the middle. Frank comes in and gives her the powder. It's a really weird and disgusting ceremony. The boy inhales and then Frank kisses him on the forehead. Everyone applauds. Yeri remains silent on the outside, but crying on the inside.
-Yeri, are you okay?
-Yes, I'm sorry. I was just out of my mind thinking.
She was distracted by the night she entered without realizing it, and with some conformity to the facts she only lost herself in the meanings of the names of her two beloved ones: Yaro, meaning "son" and Ismat, meaning "safeguard".
Then those meanings together gave her an answer to his heart. From where they were, maybe they took care of them.
She hugs Munga and this one corresponds. They'd have a long life together, they'd be very happy....
Don't let your thirst for revenge blind you so much that it prevents you from acting justly.
